Man Charged After Serious Assault in Brighstone

A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Brighstone, Isle of Wight.

Police were called at 5:22 pm on March 24, 2024, after reports that a man in his 20s had been slashed across the face with a knife outside the Three Bishops pub.

Following police investigations, 54-year-old Jason Stevenson, of John Street in Ryde, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Stevenson has been bailed with conditions and is set to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Police are continuing their investigations, and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
