A man has been charged with multiple offences, including arson with intent to endanger life, following a spate of vehicle fires across Folkestone and Hythe.
One of the most serious allegations involves a campervan fire in Sandgate, where a woman was reportedly asleep inside the vehicle when it was set alight. The woman awoke to find the vehicle on fire, prompting a further charge of arson with intent to endanger life.

Mr Harragan first appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 12 April, and again on Monday, 14 April, in relation to the latest charge. He has been remanded in custody.

The case is due to be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, 12 May.

Kent Police continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding the fires and have urged anyone with information or relevant CCTV footage from the affected areas to come forward.
