Police have charged a man with murder and manslaughter following the death of a 74-year-old woman in Tottenham last year.

Disturbing Discovery on Reynardson Road

On Monday, 13 January, officers responded to a welfare concern at a property on Reynardson Road, N17. Forced entry revealed the body of Pepita Sarikecili, also known as Pepita Garcia.

Police believe Pepita died in December, with a postmortem confirming blunt force trauma as the cause.

Suspect Charged and Court Hearings Set

  • Dominic Whitton, 41, from Reynardson Road, was first charged on 22 January with preventing a lawful burial.
  • On 6 October, Whitton appeared at Wood Green Crown Court facing added charges of murder and manslaughter.
  • He pleaded not guilty and is due back in court on Friday, 12 December.

The investigation remains ongoing as police seek justice for Pepita Sarikecili.
