A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Greenland Quay, Rotherhithe, on Friday, November 29.
Police were called to a property shortly before 3:00 p.m. after reports of a woman with stab wounds. Emergency services attended, and the victim, identified as 57-year-old Margaret Cunningham, was rushed to the hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, she tragically died later that evening.
A man, 61-year-old Andrew Cunningham, was arrested in the area shortly after the incident. He has since been charged with murder in connection with the investigation.
Court Appearance
Andrew Cunningham has been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday, December 2.
Detectives are continuing their investigation and appealing for anyone with information to contact the police.
