Police have vowed to relentlessly pursue persistent serious criminals – after a convicted murderer was caught conspiring to commit arson

Kane Hull, 30, who was jailed for life last year for a fatal stabbing in Carlisle, was back before the city’s crown court today ( July 5 ) to be sentenced for another offence.

Last year, while remanded in prison awaiting trial for the murder, Hull conspired with another man, Steven Kidd, 25, to set fire to property.
