Police launch Hit and Run Investigation in Southsea

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Waverley Road in the early hours of this morning (11 November 2017), in which the driver failed to stop. A 19-year-old man was walking across Waverley Road when he was in collision with a car at about 12.45am. The car fled the scene, travelling north into Fawcett Road. It is believed the car was a black Volkswagen Golf or Jetta. The man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment for a serious leg injury. Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident.
