Ramsgate Man Receives 18 Months Driving Ban And Ordered To Carry Out Community Payback Work

Egils Boriss, aged 36, of St. Mildreds Road, Ramsgate, was sentenced on 8 February 2022 at Margate Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to driving when above the legal drink-drive limit, in Margate, on 25 September 2021. When stopped he gave a reading of not less than 160 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 microgrammes. He was disqualified from driving for a total of 18 months and ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £95 and costs of £85.
