Six People Charged with the Murder of Gregory Castillo Volquez in Haringey

Six individuals have now been charged in connection with the murder of Gregory Castillo Volquez, who was fatally stabbed at an address on Tiverton Road in Haringey on Monday, 13 January 2025.

Homicide detectives have been investigating the case, and the latest charges were brought after two more men were arrested. Gabriel Francisco Pineda Gonzalez, 20, of High Trees, SW2, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 17 January. Benito Ramirez Kones, 19, of Fermain Court East, N1, appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 23 January. Both men have been charged with murder.

These arrests bring the total number of people charged in the case to six. Earlier charges were made against three men and a woman on Wednesday, 15 January. Those individuals are:

  • Carlos Alfredo Ramirez Tavarez, 27, of Tiverton Road, N15
  • Edison Dario Canario Perez, 22, of Tiverton Road, N15
  • Joan Perea, 20, of Tiverton Road, N15
  • Naiara Lizeth Hernandez-Bonilla, 20, of Birnam Road, N4

All six individuals have been remanded in custody. A trial for the accused is scheduled to begin on Monday, 20 October 2025, at the Old Bailey.

The investigation into Gregory Castillo Volquez’s death remains ongoing, and police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or information that may assist in their inquiries. Authorities are working to piece together the events leading to the tragic death of the 36-year-old, whose family has been informed.
