Southsea Scumbag in Court following Social Media Appeal

A Southsea petty criminal was arrested and brought before Portsmouth Magistrates – thanks to a public appeal on socail media following a theft from a Computer store in Elm Grove. The barefaced thief, Mark Hawkins, 40, of St Andrews Road, admitted stealing a brand new laptop from a small local business on 7th January of this year. Unfortunately (for him) he was caught on CCTV leaving a set of nice, clear images as he swiped the machine from local trader, Computer Junction. The balding toerag featured on Social media the following day and was quickly identified by dozens of users. In court Hawkins also admitted to an assault in Edinburgh Road on 7th January, theft of accessories worth £199 from Wilko in Arundel Street on 6th March, and smashing a pane of glass at Fratton Asda and possession of a Class B drug – cannabis – both on 2nd April. Despite an extensive criminal record for petty villainy prior to these latest convictions he escaped a custodial sentence and was issued a community order with 40 days of rehabilitation and ordered to pay £249 in compensation.
