Glen Hutchinson, 29, of Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe, appeared at York Crown Court on February 10, 2025, where he was handed his sentence.

Horrific Campaign of Abuse

Hutchinson pleaded guilty to:

  • Intentional strangulation
  • Four counts of assault causing actual bodily harm
  • Perverting the course of justice

Over a two-year period, he launched multiple violent attacks on his victim, including a disturbing incident where he punched her repeatedly in the head while she was holding a baby. The assault resulted in the baby’s head hitting a doorframe, requiring hospital scans to rule out any lasting injuries.
