In a shocking incident that occurred on Monday morning, a 15-year-old boy has been accused of stabbing a teacher at Tewkesbury School in Gloucestershire. The boy, whose identity remains undisclosed due to legal reasons, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of maliciously wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. However, he did admit to possessing a bladed article on school premises.
During the court proceedings, the teenager spoke only to confirm his personal details and enter his pleas. His parents were present in the courtroom as well. Sadie Waits, the prosecutor, argued that due to the seriousness of the allegations, the case should be transferred to the crown court. She described the matter as potentially complex, stating, “The situation is a little unusual in the way the offence has been carried out.”
