Thanks To A Proactive Police Operation In The Town, A Man Who Ran A Swindon Drugs Line Was Sentenced To Three Years And Seven Months In Prison

Fortitude team officers were looking into the “CJ line” as part of their investigations into the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in Swindon.

They identified Amin Jama as one of the key figures behind this drug dealing enterprise last summer, and in October they executed a warrant at his Drakes Way address.

Mobile phones, cash, and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Jama, 25, formerly of Drakes Way but now incarcerated at HMP Bristol, previously pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of crack cocaine, being involved in the supply of heroin, and possessing criminal property.

He appeared in Salisbury Crown Court this week (21/06) and was sentenced to three years and seven months in prison.

Our team is working tirelessly in Swindon to investigate, target, and apprehend those who deal Class A drugs,” said PC Craig Head of the Fortitude team.

“We understand the impact that this criminal activity has on our community, and we will continue to do everything in our power to disrupt their operations.”

“We are working to get illegal drugs off our streets and ensure that the dealers face justice, but we cannot do so without the general public acting as our eyes and ears.”

“If you suspect drug dealing in your community, please notify us; we will use this information to build our intelligence, and it does lead to arrests and the incarceration of offenders.”
