Three men have been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Jason Junior Romeo in Bodney Road, Hackney, last week.
Police were called to reports of a fight at around 5:59pm on February 18. When officers arrived, they found Romeo suffering from stab wounds, but despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arrests and Charges
Following an investigation, police arrested and charged three men on February 23 in connection with Romeo’s murder:
- Raynolph Asante, 22, of Pembury Road, Hackney
- Travis Mitchell, 21, of Bodney Road, Hackney
- Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21, of Williams Avenue, Walthamstow
All three suspects are in custody and are due to appear in court.
Police Searching for Fourth Suspect
The Metropolitan Police have also issued an appeal to locate Renaldo Roberts, 25, who is wanted in connection with the attack. Officers are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help track him down.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to assist with their enquiries.
A Met Police spokesperson said:
This was a brutal and senseless act of violence that has taken a young man’s life. We are committed to ensuring those responsible are brought to justice and urge anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward.”
