Three men have now been charged in connection with a violent shooting in Forest Gate, Newham, that left one man with a gunshot wound and two others injured.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the latest arrest in a press release issued today (Friday, 9 May 2025), following an altercation on Dunbar Road at 2:42pm on Tuesday, 29 April.
Mohammed Akbar Khan, 42, of Castle Road, Milton Keynes, has been charged with violent disorder and two counts of grievous bodily harm. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 6 May and will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 3 June.
Police were called to the scene in Forest Gate to find a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and two additional victims with facial injuries. All three were treated by London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Two Others Already Charged
Two other suspects had previously been charged:
- Mohammed Abdullah Khan, 22, of Upton Lane, E7, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of a prohibited firearm. He is set to appear at the Old Bailey on 30 May.
- Mohammed Qasam Khan, 37, of Sprowston Road, E7, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and violent disorder. He will also appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 3 June.
All three defendants remain remanded in custody.
