Dealer Caught Red-Handed with Drugs Hidden in Sock
A Tunbridge Wells drug dealer thought he could outsmart police by hiding his supply in a sock. Kirstian Botev’s sneaky stash didn’t fool officers on patrol in the Broadmead area.
£10,000 Worth of Cocaine Found in Kitchen Raid
On 15 September 2025, Neighbourhood Task Force officers spotted Botev acting suspiciously while driving on Showfields Road. After pulling him over, they searched his car and found a black sock stuffed with small bags of cocaine. Cannabis was also discovered in the glove box.
Despite denying a home address, detectives worked out Botev lived just 100 metres away. A key found on him led to a search of his Tudor Court home, where police uncovered around £10,000 of cocaine, £2,000 in cannabis, and a stash of £5,000 cash.
Jailed for Two and a Half Years
Botev, 31, was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, possessing criminal property, and driving without insurance. He pleaded guilty to all counts.
“These criminals have a detrimental impact on the whole community, and we will continue to proactively target them and bring them to justice.”
