Two arrested following fatal Norwood stabbing

Detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses following the fatal shooting of a man in Lambeth. Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 4.11pm on Wednesday, 27 March, to reports of a man in a critical condition in Friar Mews, West Norwood. Officers and paramedics attended the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Although officers await formal identification, they are confident the deceased is Ramane Richard Wiggan, 25. Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination gave provisional cause of death as a gunshot wound. The Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading on this investigation. A number of enquiries including review of local CCTV footage and forensic analysis at the scene are in hand. Two 17-year-old males were arrested on suspicion of murder. Both have been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late April. Detectives are urging witnesses or anyone with information to call the incident room on 020 8721 4868. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Young people can also pass on information in complete confidence via www.fearless.org
