Two Charged Following Tyre Thefts in Aylesford

Two men have been charged in connection with a series of tyre thefts from vehicles at a car dealership in Aylesford. The arrests followed a swift response by Kent Police.

Incident Details

Police were called to Sytner Land Rover Maidstone, located on the Quarry Wood Estate, at 11:37 pm on 1 May 2024, after a report that spare tyres had been removed from several vehicles parked on the forecourt.

Officers arrived at the scene within 10 minutes and pursued the suspects on foot. Two men were subsequently arrested in connection with the thefts.

Charges

William Moses, 22, of Beech Gardens in Headcorn, Ashford, and Harry Cadwallider, 28, of Langley Way in Kings Hill, West Malling, have both been charged with:

  • Theft from a motor vehicle.
  • Going equipped for theft of a motor vehicle.

The two suspects have been released on conditional bail and are scheduled to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 17 February and 28 February 2025, respectively.

Kent Police continue to urge anyone with information related to the incident to contact them on 101, quoting reference 46/34710/24. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
