North London Duo Caught in Crack Cocaine Sting
Two men from north London have pleaded guilty to supplying Class A drugs in Crawley after a major police crackdown on county lines activity.
Abdiqadir Ali, 25, and Bashir Mohammed, 27, were admitted to multiple offences linked to distributing crack cocaine. Both were tied to the local “Silver” drug network operating in the area.
Drugs Thrown From Window During Raid
Sussex Police swooped on a property in Langley Drive in the early hours of 12 March. Officers witnessed packets of drugs being thrown out of a window during the raid. A thorough search uncovered more Class A drugs and nearly £6,000 in cash.
- Charges include possession with intent to supply crack cocaine
- Money laundering offences
- Possession of cannabis
The pair appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court the same day and admitted all charges.
County Lines Crackdown Nets Major Haul Across West Sussex
This bust was part of a broader County Lines Intensification Week aimed at dismantling organised drug networks and protecting vulnerable victims. Across West Sussex:
- 10 warrants executed
- 37 arrests made
- £12,000 cash seized
- 17 mobile phones and 12 knives recovered
- Vehicle confiscated
- 26 children and 20 vulnerable adults were identified and safeguarded
Detectives warned that county lines gangs exploit young and vulnerable people, forcing them to transport drugs or take over their homes.
Sentencing and Ongoing Investigations
Ali and Mohammed will face sentencing at the Crown Court on 9 April. Police have confirmed that more charges and convictions are expected as investigations continue.
