Shocking news from West Midlands Police as Sgt Karl Mumby, 47, faces serious charges. He has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of coercive control involving the same victim.

A West Midlands Police statement revealed Mumby will appear at Warwick Crown Court on 17 December for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He was suspended from duty in November 2023 as soon as the allegations came to light.
