Officers have been investigating allegations of drug dealing in the town involving bike riders wearing balaclavas, and a search warrant was executed during the morning of Friday 1 September 2023.

Entry was forced to a property in Fosse Road at 7.30am. Officers recovered an e-bike, money, 25 wraps of suspected cocaine and almost a kilogram of cannabis. A handheld device – described as resembling a Taser – was also recovered, along with more than 250 bottles of Nitrous Oxide. The investigation has led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man from Tonbridge in connection with drugs supply offence and possession of a firearm. He was taken into custody.
