Woman rushed to hospital with suspected heart attack from Shanklin Hotel
Emergency services have been called to a hotel on Queen Road in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight this afternoon. The Isle of Wight ambulance service and a fire crew stationed at Shanklin were called just after 5pm on Tuesday afternoon (July 31st) after a woman collapsed in a room within the hotel. Paramedics rushed to the scene as the woman had suffered from a suspected heart attack. Paramedics treated and stablished the woman. Due to the location of the casualty the ambulance crew, requested the assistance of the 1 service to assist in moving the woman from the second floor into the awaiting ambulance. Firefighters used a salvage 1 to transport the woman due to the hotel not having a lift The woman has since been rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport. Her condition remains serious.
