On Thursday, shortly before 4 p.m., paramedics rushed to the stop on Burdett Road in Mile End, opposite the Mile End Leisure Centre (February 2).
They discovered the teenager with bite wounds and took him to the hospital for treatment. According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, his injuries are not life-threatening.
At 3:55 p.m., paramedics called the police.
Police recovered the dog and are now attempting to locate the owner.
Police were called by the London Ambulance at about 3.55pm on Thursday, February 2 to reports of a child bitten by a dog at a bus stop on Burdett Road, E3,” a Met spokesperson said.
“Officers were present. The 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment; his injuries are not considered life-threatening. The search for the owner is still ongoing. Police have recovered the dog.”
A dog mauled to death a four-year-old girl in the garden of her home in Broadlands, Milton Keynes, just two days before. Previously, on January 12, a 28-year-old London woman was mauled to death by dogs in Caterham.
