Police are appealing for information after a disturbing incident of arson took place in Kirkby last night. On Monday, 16 October, at approximately 20.15 BST, a youth reportedly fired a firework towards the twelfth-floor balcony of a block of flats on Roughwood Road, resulting in the ignition of nearby rubbish.

The prompt response from the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service ensured the fire was extinguished swiftly. The building was then safely evacuated, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
