In a heartfelt tribute to the late TV and radio presenter, Paul O’Grady, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home has announced that its upcoming veterinary hospital will bear his name. O’Grady, who passed away in March at the age of 67, had been an ambassador for Battersea since 2012, gaining immense popularity through the award-winning ITV series, For The Love Of Dogs.

Following O’Grady’s demise, Battersea established a “tribute fund” in his honour, which has successfully raised £480,000 to date. Out of this fund, £100,000 will be allocated to five other animal charities close to the entertainer’s heart. Among the recipients are charities in O’Grady’s hometown of Liverpool, including Freshfields Animal Rescue, Carla Lane Animals In Need, and The Oldies Club.
