Coastguard called to Bembridge to move casualty

The UK coastguard have mobilised Bembridge coastguard search and rescue team this afternoon (Sunday) April 28th to assist in the the recovery on an injured person in the Isle of Wight this afternoon. The coastguard team were mobilised just after 2pm to assist the Isle of Wight ambulance service at a call on Lane End Road after a pensioner from the near by Warner’s holiday village fell on to this face. The Isle of Wight fire and rescue service have also sent resources to the incident. The coastguard team used a basket stretcher to help in the removal and recover of the injured person following what is understood to be a fall. The pensioner has been left in the care of the Island ambulance service. More to follow
