Coastguard called to Mud Rescue

Emergency services were called to a person stuck in mud in Portchester on Saturday. Coastguard search and rescue teams were deployed from Hillhead and Portsmouth to the entrance of Port Solent harbour just before 2pm. Two mud rescue technicians extracted the casualty a man who was stuck up to his waist in mud following a successful extrication they provided medical care until passing the man into the care of South central ambulance. Safety support was also provided by Potsmouth RNLI Atlantic 85.
