Detectives In Newham Are Looking For Witnesses In Connection With An Attempted Murder

 

The London Ambulance Service called police at 5.16 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27 to reports of an injured man on Martindale Avenue, E16.

Officers were present, as was the London Air Ambulance. A 28-year-old man was stabbed and taken to an east London hospital, where he is still in critical condition.

At this point, the assault is thought to have occurred in Canning Town near the intersection of Mandela Road and Coolfin Road.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.

The investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Keith Faris, stated, “We know the victim met with another male shortly before he was attacked, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact police.”

“Anyone who witnessed anything, no matter how insignificant, is asked to contact police so that we can identify the person responsible for this man’s severe injuries.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD 1047/27Jul, or Crimestoppers, which is completely anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
