The volunteer crew at Eastbourne RNLI was alerted at 00:14 on Thursday, January 11, and instructed to deploy the D Class Inshore lifeboat named ‘David H’ to ensure safety during a Coastguard operation.
This operation involved rescuing an individual from a challenging spot. A team of four crew members headed to the scene and remained on the lifeboat while the Coastguard handled the situation.
After completing this mission, they received another assignment to support other agencies in a different incident, the specifics of which are not disclosed.
These operations marked the second and third missions for the RNLI crew in the year 2024.
