Firefighters were called to a corn field alight at Court Lodge Rd at 4.38pm today. At the height of the blaze, 8 fire engines, the technical rescue unit, a fogging unit, multi-terrain vehicles and bulk water carrier were at scene. 2 fire engines remain in attendance.
