Eight men have been charged with a total of 57 offences after a series of targeted thefts at Co-op stores in the Stockport area. The charges come after a comprehensive investigation by local police, aiming to curb criminality and anti-social behaviour in the community.
He added: “Our Stockport police teams relentlessly pursue those who harm our communities. The message is clear – criminality and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.”
Chief Inspector Picton also encouraged residents to sign up for the Neighbourhood Alert scheme, Bee In The Loop, which provides updates directly from the local policing team. Residents can receive free text or email alerts about incidents and safety updates in their area by signing up at www.beeintheloop.co.uk.
