A lifeboat was urgently launched from Beachley after reports of a person in the water near the Old Wye Bridge in Chepstow. Emergency services, including CID officers, were dispatched to the scene to assist in the rescue operation.
The incident started to unfold just before 4pm on Friday 15th November 2024, with immediate deployment of a lifeboat to the area. Local authorities are working with maritime and rescue teams to locate and assist the individual in distress.
