The drama unfolded at around 6.55pm when locals reported a firearms incident near the roundabout at Richards Way and Little england/Chapelschapels/”>Chapels Way, Cippenham.
Offender on the Run After Shooting at VW Golf
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect fired at a black vehicle, believed to be a VW Golf. The shooter was spotted wearing all black and a bandana. Both the gunman and the targeted car fled the scene before police arrived.
Police Launch Forensic Sweep and Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Sarah Noah said: “I appreciate this incident will cause concern in the community, but I want to reassure residents that we are conducting a thorough investigation.”
Police have cordoned off the area for forensic tests and are conducting house-to-house and CCTV enquiries. Officers remain visible in the neighbourhood, urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
