Paul Danan, best known for his role as Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks, has died at the age of 46, his management has announced.
In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, Independent Creative PR described Danan as “a beacon of light to many” and praised his talent and kindness.

Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to many. “During this difficult time, we kindly request respect and privacy for Paul’s family, friends, and colleagues.”
The post added that there would be “no further comments” regarding the circumstances of his death.
A Career in Television
Danan rose to fame in Hollyoaks, playing Sol Patrick from 1997 to 2001. He later appeared in Celebrity Love Island in 2005 and 2006, where he became a fan favorite despite not winning either series. In 2017, he participated in Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5, expressing hopes the show would give him “a second chance” in his career.
Paul also featured in E4’s Celebrity Coach Trip and the Channel 4 sketch comedy The Kevin Bishop Show. From 2019 to 2023, he hosted the podcast The Morning After With Paul Danan, where he shared insights from his career and life.
