This morning, a dramatic rescue unfolded at St Mary’s Island, Chatham, when a person fell into the water at Basin 2. The incident occurred around 9 am near the Boardwalk off Maritime Way.
Emergency services were alerted at approximately 8:30 am, prompting a swift and coordinated response. The Coastguard, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and South East Coast Ambulance Service all rushed to the scene, joined by the Air Ambulance.
