Man stabbed in Southsea

Police are investigating a stabbing in Portsmouth at about 9pm last night (26 July). Did you witness a fight, a stabbing or see anything suspicious in the area around The Pompey Centre, Goldsmith Avenue or the Frensham Road? If so Police would like to hear from you. Police initially called to an altercation between two men in the car park of KFC in The Pompey Centre, Fratton Way, at around 9pm. It is believed that the stabbing took place in the area around Frensham Road. The victim fled the scene and was later located by police. He was taken to hospital by ambulance; his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The suspect was described as: Black man Wearing a black hooded jacket We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of The Pompey Centre, Goldsmith Avenue or Frensham Road last night (26 July) and may have information that could help with our investigation.
