Nottinghamshire Police Release Image of Man in Connection with Stalking Investigation

Nottinghamshire Police have released an image of a man they wish to identify and speak to in connection with a reported stalking incident in Nottingham. The incident, which left the victim feeling fearful and distressed, occurred on two separate occasions, on 25 June and 3 July 2024. In both instances, the victim reported being followed by the same man after disembarking from a tram at the Ruddington Lane stop.

The police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the man pictured in the image, as he may be able to provide information relevant to the ongoing investigation. PC Melissa Starmer, who is leading the investigation, emphasized the seriousness of stalking and its impact on victims’ lives.

We are acutely aware that stalking can devastate people’s lives, which is why we treat all reports of this type extremely seriously. In this case, the victim has been left feeling afraid on two occasions, and we are doing everything we can to trace the person involved,” PC Starmer said.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the individual in the image, or who may have relevant information, to come forward. If you are the man pictured or recognize him, you are asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 882 of 3 July 2024. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be made through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Police stress that stalking is a serious offense with potentially significant psychological effects on victims. They encourage anyone experiencing similar incidents to report them immediately.
