Police are hunting thieves who nicked a giant Christmas Nutcracker from outside a Sheerness business. The festive figure, standing five feet tall and worth £250, vanished from Broadway on Friday afternoon.

Christmas Cheer Stolen Around 1pm

Kent Police were called at 1.33pm on December 5 after reports the statue was taken at about 1pm. The Nutcracker had been placed outside a funeral home to offer comfort to grieving visitors.

Two Men Arrested, Investigation Ongoing

Two local men, aged 59 and 39, have been arrested in connection with the theft. Detectives want anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward.
