Devon & uk/topic/cornwall/">Cornwall Police have launched a public appeal for information following a reported burglary and subsequent fraud in the heavitree/">Heavitree area of Exeter. Officers have released images of a man and woman they wish to identify in connection with the incidents.

The burglary took place between 4pm and 5pm on Friday, March 14, when a woman’s purse—containing bank cards and a quantity of cash—was stolen from a residential property.

Police say one of the stolen bank cards was used shortly after the theft to withdraw money from the victim’s bank account.

As part of their ongoing enquiries, officers have now released CCTV images of two individuals they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

Public Assistance Needed

“We are keen to speak to the man and woman pictured as they may have vital information that could help us progress this case,” a spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said.

“If you recognise them or have any information that could help identify them, please get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is urged to contact police on 101 or via the Devon & Cornwall Police website quoting crime reference number 50250064721.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
