Tragic news has emerged as a 15-year-old boy involved in a serious collision in Andover on Saturday, December 21, has sadly succumbed to his injuries.

The Incident

The collision occurred around 6:00 PM on New Street, near ATS Tyres, when a silver Ford Fiesta struck the teenage pedestrian. Emergency services responded quickly, and the boy was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite their efforts, he passed away shortly thereafter.

The boy’s family is being supported by specialist officers during this devastating time.

Investigation Update

A 29-year-old woman from Andover, who was driving the Ford Fiesta, has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs. She has since been released from police custody but remains under investigation as the Serious Collision Investigation Unit continues to examine the circumstances of the incident.

Witness Appeal

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward. Detectives are particularly keen to hear from individuals who were in the area at the time of the collision or may have dashcam footage.
