Police Hunt for Suspect After Girl Under 16 Raped in West London Park

Police have launched an urgent investigation after a girl under the age of 16 reported being raped in Hayes End Park, West London, early Wednesday morning (23 October 2024). The incident took place around 6:40 am as the victim was reportedly attacked by a lone male suspect.

Hillingdon Police, supported by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Police, are leading the investigation. Authorities have stated that no arrests have been made yet, and extensive enquiries are ongoing. The suspect remains at large, and police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

 

 

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Met Police wrote: “An urgent investigation, supported by specialists from across the Met, is under way following a rape this morning in Hayes End Park. Anyone with information, please call 101 ref 1814/23oct. To remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers.”

Specialist officers are currently supporting the young victim as the investigation progresses. Additional police presence has been deployed in the area to reassure the local community and gather further evidence. The police have assured that they are taking all necessary steps to find the suspect and bring him to justice.

The Metropolitan Police have also indicated that a full public appeal will be made later today (24 October) in hopes of encouraging any witnesses or those with information to come forward.

Scotland Yard is urging anyone who may have been in or around the park at the time of the incident or who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them immediately.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as the police continue their investigation.
