Police Probe Late night Arson attack at Avon Heath Country Park
A deliberate act of arson has destroyed a large area of forest measuring 250 meters by 150 meters in the Forest of Avon Heath Country Park.
25 Firefighters, 3 Fire Appliances, 2 Land Rovers and a Water Carrier were needlessly tied up at the fire that rapidly destroyed everything in its path.
Animals have now also lost there home and habitat in the fire.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue stated;
“We urge the public to heed the advice of the Government and Fire and Rescue Service to Stay Home, Save Lives, Protect The NHS and don’t start any fires.
Our resources need to be kept available during this difficult time.”
