Southampton Road In lockdown following Police Incident

Officers from Hampshire Constablary have descended on to Woodmill Lane in Southampton this afternoon in numbers. Officers have cordoned off the road due to a police led incident. There is currently closure, between Wessex lane and Manor Farm Road. The incident is on going this is the second time the road has been closed following the find of lice ordnance. Hampshire Constablary Spokesman said: Police officers and the bomb disposal squad were called Riverside Park in Southampton just after 1.30pm today after reports of a grenade being found in the River Itchen.
