A mother and grandmother who was shot outside a pub on Valentine’s Day died from a gunshot wound to the neck, an inquest has heard.
Victim Identified as Lisa Smith
Lisa Smith, 43, was fatally shot in the car park of The Three Horseshoes pub on Main Road, Knockholt, near Sevenoaks, on Friday, February 14.
An inquest into her death was opened today at Oakwood House, Maidstone, where area coroner Roger Hatch confirmed that her cause of death was 1A gunshot wound to the neck.
Detective Chief Inspector David Higham, leading the investigation, stated on February 20 that he had “total confidence” that Stockings had fallen into the river.
“At around midday on Saturday, we had a sighting of a body,” DCI Higham said.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to recover it before it became submerged again, but I am confident from the description that it is the suspect for our offence.”

Ms. Smith’s death has devastated her family, with her son, Teejay, paying tribute:
“My dear old mum, never be another to walk in her shoes, the best.”

Full Inquest Scheduled for September
A full inquest into Lisa Smith’s death will take place at Oakwood House in Maidstone on Wednesday, September 17.

Although Stockings is believed to have drowned, police continue to investigate all circumstances surrounding the murder.
