West Midlands Police have taken a significant step forward in their investigation into a hit-and-run incident involving an officer in Walsall. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a police officer sustained leg injuries in the collision.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 am on Thursday, 24th February, when a vehicle struck the officer on Reservoir Place before fleeing the scene. The injured officer was pushed against a police vehicle by the impact of the collision. Although the car was found abandoned later on, immediate efforts to identify and locate the driver are ongoing.
