Motorcycle ride dies following fatal collision on the M4

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision on the M4. Police were called at approximately 1.30pm on Thursday, 4 July to reports of a collision involving a van and a motorcycle on the eastbound stretch of the M4 between junctions 5 and 4. Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended. The motorcyclist, a man aged 66, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed. The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made. Any witnesses with or without CCTV dash cam footage are asked to call Serious the Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton on 020 8246 9820 or alternatively call 101, reference CAD 4040/04July19.
