Police searching for a missing man from St Leonards have confirmed that a body has been found.
Simon, 42, was last seen on Thursday, 31 July 2025, and a large-scale search was launched involving police, coastguard teams, and volunteers.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, the body is believed to be that of Simon. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A spokesperson for the search team said:
“This is not the outcome we had hoped for. Our thoughts are with Simon’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. We would also like to thank everyone who shared our appeals and assisted in the search.”
No further details have been released at this stage, and police say enquiries are ongoing.
