Body of Woman Found Near Dartford After Longfield Missing Person Search

Kent Police have confirmed that officers searching for a missing woman from Longfield have found a body near Dartford.

Emergency services were called to the Green Street Green area of Dartford at around 7pm on Monday, 28 April 2025, where the body of a woman was discovered.

While formal identification has not yet taken place, police have notified the family of Maria Pilgrim, a 56-year-old woman who was reported missing on Wednesday, 23 April.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

“Formal identification is yet to be completed. The family of the missing woman have been informed.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death in liaison with the coroner.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. The cause of death is currently unknown and will be determined through post-mortem examination and coroner’s inquiry.

Kent Police have said there are no immediate indications of foul play, but they are keeping an open mind pending the outcome of forensic examinations.
