Exculsive : Suspected Drink Driver Arrested after Ramming Police Officers in Ryde

A Suspected Drink driver has been arrested in Ryde this afternoon ( Sunday 7th January 2018) after ramming a Police Road Closure. The drunk man in his fifties who was in drink narrowly missing Collision Scene investigators who had been called following an earlier collision on Ryde St Johns Hill near to the junction of Player Street.

Part of a surrounding wall of a property was also damaged when the People carrier smashed into it. A Section of the road remained closed for some hours whilst officers carried out investigations following the two incidents. Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing based at Newport and Havant have led on the investigation. More to Follow
