It was moved to the back of a premises in High Street, Selsey, while building work took place inside the property, and was subsequently taken.
It happened between January 6 and 16, and it’s thought more than one person was involved due to how heavy the safe would be to move.
Anyone who recognises the safe, or has any other information is asked to report it to police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 550 of 26/01.
