Police in Horsham are appealing to the public to help identify a man linked to a disturbing incident of sexual assault in the area. A young woman, in her late teens, reported an unsettling encounter with a man while seated on a bench outside the Sainsburys on Worthing Road, around 3:30 pm on Saturday, 10 February.
The suspect, described as a white man in his 60s, approximately 5’10” tall, with concise grey hair, engaged the woman in conversation and shook the bench before proceeding to sexually assault her. The authorities believe that the man, who was last seen wearing a unique camouflage jacket with a palm pattern, black glasses, black jeans, grey hiking trainers, and carrying a black crossbody bag, could provide crucial information for their investigation.
